i-KNOW 2015

This was i-KNOW 2015!

i-KNOW aims at advancing research at the intersection of disciplines such as Knowledge Discovery, Semantics, Information Visualization, Visual Analytics, Social (Semantic) and Ubiquitous Computing. The goal of integrating these approaches is to create cognitive computing systems that will enable humans to utilize massive amounts of data. Since 2001, i-KNOW has successfully brought together leading researchers and developers from these fields and attracted around 450 international attendees every year. The international conference is held annually in Graz, Austria and organized by the Know-Center and Graz University of Technology.

Once again, i-KNOW 2015 was a huge success! For the 15th time in a row, the International Conference on Knowledge Technologies and Data-driven Business was organized by Know-Center in co-operation with TU Graz. From October 21 to October 22, 2015 the i-KNOW conference, taking place at Messe Congress Graz, promoted the exchange of knowledge between science and industry /researchers and practicioners.

450 participants from 18 countries followed our invitation to Graz, Austria to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the i-KNOW conference series at Messe Congress Graz.

Our exceptional keynote speakers Luciano Floridi (University of Oxford), Pablo N. Mendes (IBM Research), Klaus Tochtermann (ZBW, Kiel University) and Sebastian Kozerke (University of Zurich) very impressively demonstrated their approach to Big Data, Science 2.0 and Cognitive Computing.
